MPTF FUTURE & DEVELOPMENT AGENDA

1.To actively expand the scope of multi-level partnerships
through multilateral collaborations, in terms of accessing funds, training, capacity building, networking for solutions, technical and practical knowledge. To that effect ,  we will be collaborating with several entities with common mission and development agendas

 2. To actively promote integration of Human Rights Based Approach to the EMPOWERMENT of the marginalized people. The MPTF Training Module on Human Rights Education /Learning (HRE/L) would be instrumental in this on-going  process.

3. To actively participate in the Campaign for the  Millennium Development Goals-- to be accomplished by 2015, and to integrate MDGs in our work. To that effect we are strengthening our  involvement with the  United Nations' Agencies, as well as, developing The MPTF Training Module  on MDGs.

4. To actively develop enlightened  focus on The MPTF project support in terms of cash grants-- in keeping with our   VISION & MISSION.  To that effect, our  project collaborations  through Request for Proposals (RFP), and multilevel partnerships, are underway.

5. To actively  implement "The THADHANI FELLOW PROGRAM"; to integrate volunteer placements with NGO(s) in the Development field in India.  A selected volunteer  from USA/Canada  would represent The MPTF  while gaining exposure, experience and contributing toward the established goals.  The placement period would be  for 3,  6, or 9 months. As of 2007, this  Initiative  has been implemented. The first Thadhani Fellow  worked  on Micro credit related assignment and has been instrumental in assisting The MPTF in designing our Micro-Credit Program.

6.To   actively implement , The MPTF  MICRO-CREDIT FUND/ PROGRAM , through  creative ways of engaging in the process of  empowering the-- capacity deprived- poor people in India. The process of  fund design is underway, through networking and collaborations. We expect the fund to be fully operational   in 2008. New innovative ideas are welcome. Details on  this program can be viewed further on this website.

7.  To actively continue  our MARCH AHEAD. The MPTF  project support focus is mainly  in West Bengal,   however we plan  to engage in multi-level collaborations involving Training, Teaching and Consultations through out India. We plan to focus on our Development Agenda  in the entire subcontinent of India. We have three (3)  Training Modules which would have applicability through out India.

8. To actively operate out of  the city of Kolkata- as our India base, but not limit our overall Development Agenda to West Bengal.
