| THE MPTF "THADHANI FELLOW PROGRAM" |
THE THADHANI FELLOW PROGRAM (TF) The MPTF initiated The Thadhani Fellow (The TF) program in 2007 with the goal of promoting International Social Work Experience and Exposure for the students and working individuals. It is a Volunteer Program for those interested in Development Work in India, focused on socio-economic empowerment of those marginalized by poverty, capacity deprivation and gender biases and therefore, unable to access health & education for their families. With the Human Rights Based Approach to Empowerment, we plan to work with Schools of Social Work, International Studies, and NGO Development Programs. We also recruit working volunteers who work in solidarity with The MPTF Agendas. The MPTF Fellow selected by the Board, and in collaboration with other entities, would be assigned to work in India for the duration of 3-12 months. After signing a LETTER of AGREEMENT and receiving orientation, the student or volunteer (The TF) will be assigned to work with 1-3 NGOs in India, to contribute and learn, as well as, to receive the credits from his/her college. The MPTF will arrange the placement, the lodging/boarding, and other details, which would be conducive to overall positive exposure/experience for The Thadhani fellow. The TF will be required to submit a REPORT at the end of the term. The MPTF works in close consultation with the United Nations & Conference Of NGO (CONGO). Please contact us at thadhanifdn@hotmail.com, if interested, at least 3-6 months in advance. |
